Overview:
Our Colorfastness to Rubbing test evaluates how well dyed or printed textiles resist color transfer when subjected to dry and wet rubbing. This test, also known as the crocking test, is crucial for ensuring the durability of textile coloration during use, especially for apparel, upholstery, and technical fabrics.

Test Description:
A standard white test cloth is rubbed against the sample fabric using a Crockmeter under controlled conditions. The rubbing is performed either dry or with the white cloth moistened (wet test), simulating real-life contact. The degree of color transferred to the white cloth is then assessed using a gray scale for staining.
